Linda Richards (1841-1930)

Who am I?

I am one of the nations first trained nurses here in the United States. I was trained by other medical professionals, not my family.

A few places I've worked.

  • I've worked at the Boston City Hospital (my first job)
  • I've taught and worked at Massachusetts General Hospital (my last job)

My Major Accomplishment

My most famous invention was the bedside chart to help keep track of everything we did and used to help the patients, and yes these charts are still in use today.
